The Nobel Prize for Chemistry is awarded "to those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greateswt benefit on mankind" in the field of chemistry. In 2020, Berkeley's own Jennifer Doudna was one of the recipients of this prestigious award. To further honor Dr. Doudna, the House of Representatives of Hawaii presented this certificate to her.
The certificate is floated on an archival cream mat. The black and gold frame walls are lined with the same cream mat to provide depth and create a shadow box effect.
